The image below is a rifle which was created entirely using extrusion. I began this model using a JPEG image which i inputted into lightwave and it resulted in the creation of small 2D shapes. What i had to do at this point was extrude these shapes and put them into the correct place. I used the original JPEG image as a reference image to help me put the correct pieces of the rifle into their place. I also used the flip tool during this exercise. The flip tool is used when a 3D shape is inside out. It reverses the shape making it the right way round. I used the bevel tool when creating he barrel of the rifle. I extruded a small disk until it was roughly the correct size and shape. I then placed another disk over the end of the barrel and beveled it inwards to give it a tunnel effect.
